The Alumni Hall of Fame |
Alumni Hall of Fame nominees will represent excellence in one of eight areas: Corporate, Government, Education, Professional, Religious, Entrepreneurial, Arts and Volunteer Service. Nominees will submit a profile to be evaluated by a committee appointed by the president of the Alumni Association. Awardees and nominees will be honored at a function sponsored by the Association.
Awardees will receive a hand-blown glass sculpture entitled,"Infinity" to acknowledge their accomplishments. Each sculpture is unique and expresses the feeling that the service and commitment to Delaware State University is a never ending process.
The Alumni Association will also award an annual Legacy Award to an individual whose lifetime of service to Delaware State University, the Alumni Association and local chapter, as well as the community, exemplify the concept of "Enter to learn. Go forth to Serve."
This second Alumni Hall of Fame honors those alumni who have played a large part in laying a foundation for Delaware State University and the Association. Their tireless efforts and commitment to securing an education have ensured opportunity for future generations.
